Deborah Dunham

Writer. Activist. Athlete. Social Entrepreneur.

Who says communication about social change has to be dry, boring and depressing? It’s not. Social change is awesome!

What I write about:

— profiles of interesting people (leaders, trailblazers, authors, those overcoming all odds, those making a difference and those simply surviving)
— our teenage generation
— animal rights/veganism
— poor and under-served
— youth with troubled backgrounds
— health/wellness issues
— uplifting/inspiring people
— social responsibility
— cultural trends and awareness
— philanthropic organizations
— opinion editorials

Types of writing services:
— feature articles for news sites
— blogs
— interviews
— editing
— media campaigns/marketing materials
— websites
— book writing and editing

I believe that:
— writing can inspire and changes lives.
— telling the stories of people can reconnect us as a society.
— we can learn more by listening and reading.
— communication should focus on building each other up, not tearing each other down.
— gossip, tabloids and related media should be ignored.
— writing should be real, honest, independent and not influenced by an agenda, advertisers or what readers want/expect to hear.
— all living beings have the right to be heard and treated like they matter. And yes, animals have voices, too.
— every person, business and organization across the globe should give back to society in a meaningful way.
— we shouldn’t be afraid of taking a stance about issues that are close to our hearts.
